Camp Winnequah is designed for youth who want to exercise their independence and strong interests in specific program areas. Campers choose two programs (electives) and focus on these activities for the entire week. Every Monday each camper chooses two elective activities, which they will focus on for the week (Monday through Thursday). We celebrate the middle of the week with Wacky Wednesday (think crazy costumes, special themed programs) and the end of the week with Field Trip Fridays. Elective classes give each camper the opportunity to explore their interests with more time to have individualized instruction and work on in-depth projects.
Recognizing that this age group still needs plenty of support and supervision, campers begin and end each day in smaller groups routinely checking-in with a dedicated group and counselor. This program provides a nurturing setting to introduce campers to activities in each of our program areas and encourage them to try new things and discover hidden talents with ample support from staff. Our activity blocks will ensure a dynamic schedule with plenty of opportunities to try the various program areas that camp has to offer. This consistent social setting encourages respectful interactions with peers and strong connections with counselors.
Please remember that your camper will have the best experience if you prepare him/her to have a great experience, and if you prepare us. The more information that you share with us about your camper’s health (physical, emotional, mental, personal history, unique behavior plans), the better we can prepare to meet their needs. |Campers spend the day with friends, participate in fun games, hands on science, sports and fitness, music and create arts and crafts. Campers are required to bring their camp shirt to wear on field trip Friday's.

Payments and Refunds
We carefully plan each session of camp for maximum fun. We understand that your schedule may change but our staffing and snack arrangements are finalized based on the enrolled registration attendance. With that in mind, please read our refund policies carefully.
The deposit of $15.00 per week is required at the time of application and is non-refundable/non-transferable. All deposits made at time of registration are nonrefundable. Deposits are not transferable between siblings and deposits are only transferable to another session if space is available. Deposits may not be transferred to the balance of fees for another session in which another deposit has been paid. Any changes or cancellations/refund request must be received via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least two weeks prior to the session start date or payment date. For cancellations prior to May 15, all funds will be refunded or cancelled other than the weekly deposit fee. After May 15, 50% of the camp fee is refundable up to the 14 day window before your camp week begins. Seven days before a week begins, or partial attendance of a week will result in no refund.
We will do our best to accommodate any weekly changes requested but cannot guarantee availability. There will be no fee reduction or reimbursement for absences due to illness, family emergencies, vacation, and other camps, unexpected visits from relatives or for any other reason.
