A refugee is a person who is seeking a safe haven after being forced to flee violence, persecution or war. And what else do you know about refugees? Why would they become refugees? What is the process to become a refugee? How can they get help from host country? These and other questions will be answered in this talk by Dr. Jang.

Dr. Eunyoung Jang is an assistant professor of Social Work at UW-W. Her research focusses on cultural competence, social support, health, and promotion of  well-being and social justice for refugees and the immigrant populations.
