The Monona Farmers’ Market wraps up its 14th season with its Halloween Market!
Enjoy trick-or-treating with the vendors. Have fun hoppin and bobbin to the music of the Dead Sea Squirrels. This lively trio of musical nuts will share original tunes and classic rock at the final market of the season. Stock up on fresh local produce and specialty items.
As another successful season comes to a close, it’s important to recognize those who make it possible to have great local food, fun live entertainment and valued community connections for twenty-six Sundays of the year. This happens thanks to the generous financial support of the business and individual market sponsors and the behind-the-scenes work of the volunteer steering committee. Throughout the season, the volunteer Master Gardeners contribute their time and expert advice, regional non-profit groups share their information, Mayor Mary O’Connor connects with the community at her picnic table office and entertainers share their talents. Of course, the commitment of top quality vendors and the patronage of an estimated 1,200 to 1500 weekly market shoppers make the market a success – a heartfelt thanks to all.
EBT is accepted. The Double Dollars Program is available. The market, located at Ahuska Park, 400 E. Broadway, is open from 9:00 to 1:00.
