CITY OF MONONA VOTING OPTIONS

2020 SPRING ELECTION & PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY

Hello voters!  We are all concerned about the effect health concerns will have on voting.  Did you know you have options to cast your ballot for the April 7, 2020 election (and every election)?

The Wisconsin Elections Commission strongly recommends that anyone planning to vote in the April 7 Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary request to have an absentee ballot mailed to them.

  • You must be registered to vote to request an absentee ballot.
  • Monday, March 30 is the new extended deadline to register to vote online.  You can register in person at City Hall until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3.  You can register at the polls on election day (April 7).
  • Voters should request an absentee ballot as soon as possible for April 7. The deadline is April 2, but do not wait!

Request your absentee ballot online at https://myvote.wi.gov.

View the ballot here.

Voters can also vote in-person via absentee ballot at City Hall prior to election day during regular office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Additional hours are available on Wednesday, March 25 and Wednesday, April 1 (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.), and on Saturday, March 28, (8:00 a.m. - noon).  In-person voting begins on Monday, March 16th and ends on Friday, April 3rd at 5:00 p.m., so plan ahead.

For the voter who enjoys the excitement of Election Day, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Election Inspectors will be happy to assist you along with keeping the election facility as clean and safe as possible.  Extra efforts will be taken to continually wipe down voting booths and election equipment throughout the day.  For voter’s convenience, hand sanitizer will also be available at each poll book station.

If you have questions or need assistance with any of your voting options, please contact us at Monona City Hall (608) 222-2525.
