Brush and Leaf Collection will go on as Scheduled

Trash and recycling collection in the City of Monona continues as scheduled.  However, any trash or recycling placed next to your bin will not be collected, and large item collection has been suspended for the time being.

Spring curbside leaf collection will begin as scheduled in April, as long as the City continues to have crew members to complete the work.  Residents can rake their leaves to the curb for collection by the vacuum trucks. City staff urges residents to continue to practice proper social distancing, even when working in their yards.

The City’s yard waste drop-off site, located at the Public Works Garage on Edna Taylor Parkway (between Femrite and Broadway, next to the Monona Dog Park), is now open.  Residents can take leaves and garden waste to this site, but no brush.  Residents should not congregate at the site and should continue to practice social distancing when using the site.

Curbside brush collection will also occur as scheduled in the month of April.   View information regarding schedules for pick-up dates and times here

All of the above services are continuing as scheduled now, but all are subject to change by our contractors if necessary due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
