Fall Brush Collection Begins Oct. 5

The final round of curbside brush collections for the year is scheduled in October as follows:

  • District 1:  Oct. 5
  • District 2:  Oct. 12
  • District 3:  Oct. 19
  • District 4:  Oct. 26

Even though crews will collect all week, residents must have their brush at the curb and ready for collection by 7:00 a.m. on Monday of their collection week because crews will not return to a street once they've collected from it. Not sure which district you reside in, or need more information about the brush collection program?  Go to http://mymonona.com/255/Brush-Leaves-Yard-Waste.

Public Works crews will also begin vacuuming leaves next week.  Unlike brush collection, there are no districts for leaf collection. Residents can rake their leaves to the curb at any time for collection by the vacuum trucks.  Please do not mix leaves and brush at the curb..  Mixed piles cannot be collected.  Leaves can also be taken to the Public Works yard waste disposal dumpsters, located on Edna Taylor Parkway, near the Monona Dog Park.
