Last Brush Collection of the Year Underway

The final curbside brush collection of the year is scheduled as follows:

  • District 1:  Oct. 9
  • District 2:  Oct. 16
  • District 3:  Oct. 23
  • District 4:  Oct. 30

In order to ensure collection, residents must have their brush at the curb and ready for collection by 7:00 a.m. on Monday of their collection week because crews will not return to a street once they've collected from it. Not sure which district you reside in?  Have other questions about brush collection?  Click on the link below or call City Hall at 222-2525.

In addition to brush collection, crews have begun collecting leaves.  Unlike brush collection, there are no districts for the collection of leaves.  Vacuum trucks circle the City collecting leaves where they see them until the first measurable snowfall makes collection no longer possible.  Residents should rake their leaves to the curb (but not into the gutter or street) for collection.  Alternately, leaves can be brought to the City's yard waste collection dumpsters at the Public Works garage on Edna Taylor Parkway (between Femrite Drive and East Broadway, next to Monona's dog park).  The dumpsters are open 24 hours a day, everyday, until late fall.
