The Wellness on the Water goal is to facilitate improvement of the overall health and wellness within our local community by educating and empowering individuals through fitness. Be sure to push yourself mentally and physically with our Wellness on the Water series in order to jump start your long term health and fitness goals. These outdoor classes are open to all! Come with friends or meet new people with common interests! Social distancing requirements will be meet and class sizes must be kept under 25 people. WERQ is the fiercely fun dance fitness class based on pop, rock, and hip hop music. The warm up previews the dance steps in class and the cool down combines yoga-inspired static stretching and balance poses. WERQ is taught by Certified Fitness Professionals, so the WERQout is safe and effective.

    Gentle yoga postures, heavily propped, are offered in this class. The postures are held for some minutes and incorporate props such as pillows, blankets, cushions, straps, chairs and the wall to help you stay in the pose comfortably for a full restoration. Expect breath awareness, deep openings and guided visualizations that will bring you to full equilibrium. This class is recommended for all levels and is a particularly good class for those with stress or anxiety, those in transition, or for those who just need a break from moving too quickly. This is also a great class for students who are recovering from injuries. Please let your teacher know if you have injuries so that the teacher can adapt the practice to your needs.

    Wellness on the Water is a Monona's newest fitness series offered by Monona Parks & Recreation.The Wellness on the Water goal is to facilitate improvement of the overall health and wellness within our local community by educating and empowering individuals through fitness. Be sure to push yourself mentally and physically with our Wellness on the Water series in order to jump start your long term health and fitness goals. These outdoor classes are open to all! Come with friends or meet new people with common interests! Social distancing requirements will be meet and class sizes must be kept under 25 people. This class when done consistently will give you the six pack you have always wanted! 25 straight minutes of core work using a variety of different exercises using upper, lower and oblique muscles ending with a stretch.

The “power” in Power yoga isn’t about powering through the poses, but instead, finding your own power within. We will practice traditional postures, focus on alignment, and link them together using your breath. When challenged physically, the mind can begin to clear, and as the breath becomes steady and deeper, you’ll feel your own energy flow stronger, allowing your spirit to shine. All-levels to Intermediate welcome.

  41. Wellness on the Water - Sunset Restorative Flow

    Gentle yoga postures, heavily propped, are offered in this class. The postures are held for some minutes and incorporate props such as pillows, blankets, cushions, straps, chairs and the wall to help you stay in the pose comfortably for a full restoration. Expect breath awareness, deep openings and guided visualizations that will bring you to full equilibrium. This class is recommended for all levels and is a particularly good class for those with stress or anxiety, those in transition, or for those who just need a break from moving too quickly. This is also a great class for students who are recovering from injuries. Please let your teacher know if you have injuries so that the teacher can adapt the practice to your needs.

Children, parents, grandparents and caregivers get to enjoy practicing yoga together and strengthen their bonds while supporting each other and having fun! The activities of this class are for children and parents to do together. Family Yoga helps children and parents: become stronger, more flexible, develop coordination, balance and motor skills. Relaxation techniques, deeper focus, and concentration will be experienced by all and aid with becoming more grounded and peaceful together. All are welcome to Family Yoga!

Our guided or group meditation classes hold a space for individuals to explore their inner world while sitting in a supportive community. Together we will sit and find guidance from the help of a teacher, but as your journey progresses, you’ll find a greater sensitivity to Self and that individual inner voice begins to speak. Meditation brings connection within you and unity in your outer world.
