Curbside Pick-Up of Hold Items


The Monona Public Library is only offering Curbside Pickup of Hold Items beginning Monday, July 6. After you receive a notice (email, call, or text message) that your holds are available, you can come to the library for curbside pickup during the hours listed below. We appreciate your flexibility and patience as we continue to adjust our services to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Our service hours include: 

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Saturday - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (We will be closed Saturday, July 4th.)

Please come to our entrance on Schluter Road, at the back of the building, and call (608) 222-6127 when you arrive. Please make sure you receive a notice from the library before you come to the building.

HELP PLACING HOLDS: Patrons unfamiliar with placing your own holds on items in LINKcat should email or call the library for assistance. We will do our best with any information you can give us about what you are looking for to find adequate materials in the library to fulfill your requests. 

MATERIALS FROM OTHER LIBRARIES: For safety reasons, the inter-library delivery system is operating with a slower schedule. Because of this, it will take longer for items from other libraries to be delivered here, sometimes 3-4 weeks. The fastest way to get items is to look for items that are available at Monona Library. USING A COMPUTER: We are offering computer use by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Library Director at (608) 216-7458 or at ryan@mononalibrary.org.

RETURNS: The library is currently only accepting returned materials to our outdoor book drop during our open hours (listed above). Please observe appropriate social distancing at the book drop. This time frame is subject to change. All items’ due dates have been extended until September 1, 2020.

FURTHER QUESTIONS & CALLING THE LIBRARY: The library is not staffed full time. Please be patient as we respond to your requests as soon as we can.
