Scholarly Scoop: The Final Weeks of the 2022 Campaign: Why all Eyes Will be on WI This November

Friday, October 14, 2022

The 2022 general elections will provide Wisconsin voters with an opportunity only a handful of states enjoy: to significantly influence statewide and national politics on the same day. Why is Wisconsin at the center of national politics these days? What are the implications of races breaking one way or another in both the gubernatorial and U.S. Senate contests? Join us for an interactive, engaging, and civil conversation about the upcoming elections, and how they will shape our future.

Eric Loepp is an associate professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he teaches courses in American government, political behavior, and research methods. His research focuses on candidate evaluations and electoral decision-making, and has been published in such journals as Electoral Studies, the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion, & Parties, and Election Law Journal.
