Another lovely pocket park is Frost Woods Beach on Lake Monona’s Squaw Bay. The entrance is in the 5800 block of Winnequah Road and there’s a small parking lot on site. It’s a heavily wooded park with a small, sandy beach, good for picnicking and swimming. During the winter, many ice fishermen use Frost Woods Beach to get out onto the ice. Please note: There is no lifeguard on duty, and the area is not monitored for water quality. Swim at your own risk.
